More examples of management support
These examples of how OMP can be used to support estate management were already included in previous OMP versions:
- Identify and monitor high or low yielding blocks and/or divisions.
- Check nutrient applications and balances - perhaps you are under or over fertilizing?
- Check field maintenance standards and improvements over time - are you meeting your stated policies?
- Monitor the impact of pests and diseases on yield.
- Identify the highest or lowest yielding planting materials.
- Identify the most productive soils - Use this if other acquisition or development areas become available.
- Support your senior field managers with comprehensive and detailed field history reports for every estate, division and block.
- Develop management analytical and decision making skills so that managers are confident to take a pro-active role.
- Provide detailed historic data reference to your visiting or in-house advisors and the possibility to do their own intensive data analysis.
- Develop long-term trend analyses. Do you have 20 years experience or 1 year's experience twenty times?
- Provide reliable data analyses, trends and reports to senior management and Directors. These may be mapped to provide a clear summary of the data being discussed.
Reduce office costs and time required for generating reports. OMP data analysis and reporting features are immediately available to generate printed reports or maps. No more late nights spent with a pocket calculator to produce management reports or 'one off' analyses!
